Most insurance plans in Washington State cover birth center births and midwives, in fact, it is often more affordable than having a hospital birth.

The Birth Cottage, LLC accepts Medicaid

or Apple Health as payment in full.

 

The Birth Cottage works with a contracted

biller who can provide an estimate for you.

 

It is standard for all healthcare services to

have a "facility fee" (birth center), and a

"professional fee," (midwife). Your midwife

and the birth center are two separate entities

and businesses so you will receive two

separate statements.
