INSURANCE & BILLING INFORMATION

Most insurance plans in Washington State cover birth center births and midwifery care. In many cases, this option is more affordable than a hospital birth.

 

Registration Fee

The birth center has a registration fee of $500. 
 

Medicaid and Apple Health
The Birth Cottage, LLC gladly accepts Medicaid and Apple Health as payment for the facility charges.

Billing and Estimates
We work with a contracted billing specialist who can provide an insurance estimate for your care.

 

Separate Fees
Like most healthcare services, there are two standard charges:

• Facility fee – for the birth center

• Professional fee – for the midwife

 

Because the birth center and your midwife are separate businesses, you will receive two separate statements.
